In other news, I did more ball point pen doodles this weekend...Guys drawing is HARD. I seem to have lost my muse entirely, I don't even know what to draw anymore... I get deer-in-the-headlights syndrome staring at a blank sheet of paper.....trying to work through that though..I'd like to ween myself off of plain character portrait stuff and maybe do a proper illustration-y type thing so I feel more accomplished. SIGH!!

Been reading a lot of Dianne Wynne Jones books lately, which are AWESOME, and they put me in mind of young gals and gryphons...



And ofcourse more fat mermaids, because OMG Pudge is FUN to draw!!

Good golly, I'm not quite sure how my FUNemployment got so busy! Today I have the deadline for a week long freelance that I've been on. Thurs our BFF is arriving for a long weekend of house-guesting (SO EXCITED OMG). Then next week we head down to the in-laws for a week! It's madness! SO uch cleaning and packing and prepping needs to be done.

ALSO there will be PUPPIES!!! My parents will be getting a new Pom/Chi puppy this weekend, which I will meet on Monday when we stop by on our drive down, and once we get to SC, Matthew's sister's shitzus just had a litter of pups!! OMG BABIES Y'ALL!! I am determined to lay down in the middle of a pile of wriggly fuzzy lovey puppies and not get up until it's time to go home.

In other news:

Can I just say how much I LOVE True Blood? OMG it is SO EMBARASSING BUT I LOVE IT. Plus, is it me or is there alot more shirtlessness this season? I SWEAR, the boys on that show must have pec implants or something, I can't imagine having a body like that and having any time to leave the gym!

A quick doodle while waitin' for din din....I can't get cat/birds out of my head, don't ask me why...I'd kinda like to work more on them because I'm not quite 100% satisfied with their heads/construction yet..

Apparently Fry used to live in my neighborhood, Ditmas Park! In the season 3 episode "Luck of the Fryfish" Fry and the gang go back his old nabe to check up on his house. Bender even turns into a "B" train and takes Leela and Fry to my subway stop! Heehee! I wish I could ride Bender to work every morning, he looks more amusing then the ACTUAL B train....

Oh lordy guys, what a week it's been! I am SO GLAD it's Friday!

A lil observation from my doctor's appointment on Monday:

Sometimes I feel my doctor is a bit out of touch with his "demographic". NOTHING but Sports Illus. in his waiting room...I haaaaate when I forget to bring a book!

This weekend will be spent:

~ painting the corner of my bedroom
~ putting the new bed together
~ switching clothes from crappy Ikea drawers to sexy new dresser
~ Freelance (only 1 more week OMG GUYS)
~ Taxes

also there will be sleeping, cuddling, snuggling and relaxing. I AM SO EXCITED.

On a sad note : OMG GUYS LAST BSG EVER TONIGHT I AM SO SAD! I am crossing my fingers that The Pres and Adama get sucked into the singularity and end up in an afterlife were they live ADORABLEY AND HAPPILY EVER AFTER in their cabin by the lake. SO SAY WE ALL!!!!

Hey hey folks! Exciting news! It has finally arrived! Three Delivery, the latest show I've been working on, is premiering tomorrow night on Nicktoons! Check your local listings! It will also be airing internationally at some point on the BBC, and in France and Canada...and other places that I can't recall at the moment. Anyhoo, it's actually a really cute show with badass kungfu, magic and Chinese food..whats not to love about that?

In other news, Matthew and I finised DEXTER Season 1 tonight. OMFG GUYS I AM IN LOVE!! That series is AMAZING. I am just speechless....I have NO idea how they can top a story arch like that for season 2...but I WANT TO SEE THEM TRY!! XD We are seriously considering ordering Showtime JUST to see season 2...I think we're crazy...LOL!!

In other news, I went to a foot doc this afternoon and the doc drew a big smilie face on my bandaged toe once he had finished wrapping me up. This officially made my day, I laugh like a dork when ever I take my sock off.

Uhm...okay... On Heroes; how much did I love that the first line out of Christopher Eccleston's mouth tonight was "Fantastic!"?

FINALLY two of the last shows I worked on with Soup2Nuts have hit the airways...

WordGirl is now airing on PBS - I did boards and animation for this one, and let me tell you it is utterly adorable! I hope they hurry up and sign it for a full season because I would just love to work on it again!

And...well..the second one lets just say,,not as cute.. ;)

Assy McGee in now running on Adult Swim - I worked on this after Word Girl wrapped and let me tell you, that was a bit of a shock to the system! LOL! I actually did backgrounds and character design for this one, (alas I cannot claim the Ass with Legs as my own). I actually had my reservations about this show when I was working on it, but after watching a completed episode for the first time last night, I gotta say it was pretty damn funny (and for those who might have seen it, I drew the Flirty Black Man painting and statue, and if you have keen eyes, you might see paintings of me and Matthew hanging in the museum).

Also to my suprise I noticed that Discovery Kids is still running blocks of Time Warp Trio! Good Golly! Who knew? (storyboard and animation on that one too)

YAY Soup2Nuts! I hope this means good things for the studio! XD

Speaking of Guilty Pleasures...I seem to have solved my "lack of obsessive TV programming" problem. God Bless HBO!! Apparently the new season of Sopranos has begun, not to mention the new series Big Love!! YEE! I am SO excited!! Big Love looks soooo creepy-fun, and this season of Sopranos just looks like it will be intense! O.o

I haven't seen them yet though, so NO spoilers! Pleeeez! Matthew and I are currently catching up on Sopranos: Season 5 with our HBO on Demand (we missed that season too) so we cannot see the 6th season until we finish.

I am so exciited though, as a born an bred Jersey Girl (from a well-known mafia town nonetheless), I adore the Sopranos. It makes me homesick! Heehee! And each episode I get to squeal and point and go "OMG! I know where they are!!"

Also it makes me crave Italian Food like nobodies business...Mmmmmmm NJ Italian Fooooood *licks lips*
